The Fort Madison Family YMCA will hold a Lifeguard Certification Course beginning Tuesday, May 24th for individuals 15 years of age (by June 10th, 2022) and older who are interested in lifeguarding. A recertification class will also be held on Monday, June 6th; and a Water Safety Instruction class will be held Friday, June 10th through Sunday, June 12th.
Students are asked to bring photo ID/Proof of age with you to the pre-test.
Lifeguard Certification Course
Age Requirement: 15 years old by June 10th, 2022
Location: Fort Madison YMCA and Fort Madison Public Pool
Cost: $150 must be paid by June 7th
In Water Pretest: May 24th from 4:00pm-5:00pm at Fort Madison YMCA Indoor Pool
*Must bring form of ID to show age, swimsuit & goggles.
Online Portion: Will be sent via email. Must be completed by June 7th.
Class Times: June 7th-10th from 8:30am-12:30pm at Fort Madison Public Pool
Lifeguard Recertification Course
