About This Program

The Rodeo Stampede 5K is a Tri-State Rodeo tradition among community members and rodeo visitors alike. Held annually at Rodeo Park in Fort Madison, this beloved event brings together runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

No pre-registration required. Participation is by free-will donation, with all proceeds benefitting the Fort Madison Family YMCA's Annual Sustaining Campaign. Participants meet at the Bud Light Stockyard in the Tri-State Rodeo Grounds to register prior to the run.

A half-mile run/walk is also held for younger participants ages 12 and under at 7:45am. Following the run, participants are invited to eat at the Fareway Pancake Breakfast. Admission included with the purchase of a Tri-State Rodeo Button.

Program Highlights

No Pre-Registration: No pre-registration required. Just show up and check in starting at 7:00am the morning of the race.
Free T-Shirt: First 100 participants receive a free event t-shirt.
Youth Run: A half-mile run/walk for participants ages 12 and under starts at 7:45am.
Pancake Breakfast: Following the run, participants are invited to the Fareway Pancake Breakfast. Admission is included with a Tri-State Rodeo Button.
Benefits the YMCA: All proceeds from the free-will donation benefit the Fort Madison Family YMCA Annual Sustaining Campaign.
