Registration is now open for the 2026 Coach Pitch League at the Fort Madison Family YMCA. This program introduces young athletes ages 5 to 7 to the fundamentals of baseball and softball in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment. Players will learn essential skills including hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running while building confidence through game play. The league emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and cooperation, helping kids grow both on and off the field. With the involvement of local high school coaches and players, participants benefit from positive role models and an energetic, encouraging atmosphere.
Program Highlights
Fundamentals Focus: Players learn hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running in a game-play setting.
High School Mentors: Local high school coaches and players serve as positive role models throughout the season.
Teamwork & Sportsmanship: The league emphasizes cooperation and sportsmanship to help kids grow on and off the field.
Volunteer Coaches: Practices are organized by coaches. Parents are encouraged to get involved as coaches or supporters.
