Email Shawna RossShawna joined the Fort Madison Family YMCA in January 2019 as Director of Marketing and Digital Media, bringing nearly a decade of experience in marketing, advertising, and multimedia design. With a strong background in both traditional and digital media, she is passionate about telling the Y's story, strengthening community connections, and expanding awareness of the organization's mission and impact.
In her role, Shawna leads the YMCA's marketing and communication efforts across all platforms, creating engaging campaigns that highlight programs, events, partnerships, and community initiatives. She is dedicated to showcasing the full scope of opportunities the Y provides while building meaningful relationships with members, donors, and the community.
Prior to joining the YMCA staff, Shawna worked closely with the organization beginning in 2010 as the advertising representative for the local newspaper, helping promote the Y's programs and community presence. Her long-standing connection to the YMCA and passion for community engagement make her proud to continue serving and supporting the organization in a larger capacity.
Outside of work, Shawna enjoys traveling throughout the United States and abroad, exploring new places and experiences with her family and friends. She also loves spending time outdoors kayaking and camping, staying active through pickleball, and making meaningful memories with family and friends.
